Guide to understanding aliens

Common alien types

You have probably seen one or two of these already, so check out the slideshow to see what their names are and if they are dangerous or not.

The Doctor and a Dalek: very common in the UK.
ET: likes phones.
Martians: very dangerous and highly intelligent.
Green Martians: harmless, good with kids.
Yoda: very clever, this one is.
Gray aliens: unpredictable, does not talk and extremely unattractive.
DANGER DANGER! If you happen to see this alien, it's probably the last thing you'll ever see.
Silurians: also green, lives in the Earth's core so not techinically an alien - they think we are the aliens!
Ood: friendly and mostly harmless, although they look scary.
The Silence: you've seen thousands of them, but they affect your memory so you'll never remember it.

Alien etiquette

If you happen to come across an unfamiliar alien, follow our simple tips and your encounter is guaranteed to be successful*.

  • DO keep eyecontact at all times and try not to blink, it is disrespectful.
  • DO try to hug them, most like hugs.
  • DO talk slowly and clearly, some might not speak fluent English. Try Icelandic or Klingon, some are bilingual.
  • DO show them your toes! This is very important, almost ALL aliens get very offended by shoes and socks, always remove them before interacting.
  • DO NOT try to invite them over for tea, or dinner, or drinks for that matter. Some are deadly allergic to human food, so they will think you are out to murder them if you offer them food.
  • DO NOT take a selfie with them without permission. For obvious reasons.
  • DO NOT greet them with a "Hi" or "Hello", they do not understand such things. Try slapping them in the face (or face-region) if you want to get their attention.
  • DO NOT EVER EVER ask them which planet they are from, they regard it as very offensive! Ask them instead which solar system or galaxy they originate from.
